Five minutes before cake is done, mix 1½ cups of powdered sugar with 4 T fresh lemon juice and the zest of 1 lemon; set aside
The cake is finished baking when a pick comes out clean.
Use a large wood skewer or chopstick and poke holes approx. ½ inch apart over the entire surface of the cake.
cool cake on counter for 5 minutes
pour glaze over cake evenly
