Deep Fried Mushrooms
  • 1 lb. fresh mushrooms (white or baby bella)
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • Seasonings see note
  • Oil for frying
  1. heat oil to 350 Degrees don't let oil burn!
  2. Wash the mushrooms and strain remove excess water but leave a little moist.
  3. Coat the mushrooms in four and remove excess.
  4. Dip the mushrooms in the egg to coat completely and shake off excess.
  5. Roll the mushrooms in the seasoned bread crumbs and coat completely and shake off excess.
  6. Let the prepared mushrooms rest for 10 minutes to lock the batter in. DO NOT SKIP THIS STEP
  7. Fry mushrooms till GBD.
If you want simple use Italian bread crumbs right from the container.

Panko bread crumbs produce the best crispness but if you are going to use unseasoned crumbs you will need to flavor them.
Salt, Pepper, Oregano, Basil, Garlic powder Onion Powder cumin or cayenne are all good places to start.
