Maple Glazed Pork Chops
- 4 pork chops about 8 oz. each
- 2 T peanut oil
- 6 T Real Maple Syrup
- 4 T apple cider vinegar
- 3 T Dijon mustard
- ¼ t dried thyme
- ¼ t Saigon cinnamon
- Thoroughly dry the chops and season well with salt and pepper.
- Heat oil in skillet over medium high heat until the oil begins to smoke
- Sear the chops on the first side for 5 minutes
- Turn and reduce heat to medium
- Cook for 5 -10 minutes on the second side until done.
- While chops finish mix syrup, cider vinegar, Dijon, thyme and cinnamon well
- Move chops from pan to plate and cover with foil
- Add syrup mixture to pan and reduce heat to simmer
- Cook syrup stirring constantly and loosening any fond that has developed from cooking the chops.
- Return chops and any juices to the pan and coat
