Eric's Best Rib Rub In The Universe
 
 
Ingredients
  • 1 C sugar
  • ½ C non-ionized table salt
  • ¼ C dark brown sugar, dried
  • 8 t Chile powder
  • 11 t ground cumin
  • 2 t accent (msg)
  • 2 t cayenne pepper
  • 2 t black pepper, freshly
  • 2 t granulated garlic
  • 2 t onion powder
Instructions
  1. Pre-heat oven to its lowest setting
  2. Dry the brown sugar by spreading evenly on a sheet pan an place in warmed oven for 30 minutes
  3. Let sugar cool completely.
  4. Add all ingredients to the bowl of a food processor and pulse to mix evenly.
Notes
I have used this on all things pork, poultry, fish and beef. When using as a rub for steak I often mix in a 25% ratio of ground coffee.
