Great for Game Night

Honey Ham Sliders are a simple make ahead way to eat great during the game. These sliders are more are very spicey from the horseradish so feel free to add more.

Honey Ham Sliders

  • 1 pkg. Kings Hawaiian honey wheat 12 pack dinner rolls
  • 8 Oz honey ham sliced thin
  • 8 slices Havarti cheese
  • ½ sweet onion thinly sliced
  • 15 slices of bread and butter pickles
  • 2 T mayonnaise
  • 2 T sweet and spicy mustard
  • 1 t horseradish
  • 1 T honey
  • 1 t apple cider vinegar
  • 1 stick butter, melted
  • 1 T poppy seeds
  • 1 T chopped dried onion
  • ½ t Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 ½ t yellow mustard
Instructions
  1. mix mayonnaise, sweet and spicy mustard, horseradish, honey and apple cider vinegar and reserve
  2. mix melted butter with poppy seeds, chopped dried onion, Worcestershire sauce and yellow mustard and set aside
  3. split dinner rolls in half without separating into individual rolls
  4. spread both sides with horseradish mustard mixture
  5. spread onion slices evenly over bottom of bread then
  6. evenly layer ham in the bottom of the rolls
  7. top with the cheese then finally the tops of the dinner rolls
  8. place the completed sliders in a piece of heavy duty aluminum foil big enough to seal the sliders inside
  9. spoon the butter mixture over the tops of the rolls making sure to evenly cover with the onion and poppy seed
  10. seal the foil around the sliders and refrigerate at least 30 minutes or overnight.
  11. preheat oven to 325
  12. place foil package in the middle rack of the preheated oven for 15 minutes then open foil to expose the tops and continue baking for 10 more minutes or until golden brown
  13. the bottom crusts will crisp and be a little tough to cut through
